Turnigy xk range of motors. Anyone tried them?

Seen these motors in various sizes and kv. They seem to look very similar to the leopard ranges. I tried a search but couldn't find anything on them. So has anyone tried them or got any views? For the money I think I will give one a go.

One thing ive noticed looking at the specs of the Turnigy motors is they say much lower voltages than the leopards do for their motors for a simular spec motor.

I noticed that. Maybe they don't want to step on leopards toes. Could they even be the same motors like the turnigy esc's are seakings?

some of their motors are 2 pole where the leopards are 4.
I have a smaller xk which runs good. For the money it's OK.
Maybe they use weaker quality bearings thus the lower max. volt rating?!

Yes i agree their made by Leopard but why the diff specs re voltage & watts for the same / simular Leopard motor, Are they a cheaper version than the Leopard motor.

Maybe cheaper components are used. I guess the only way to tell is to run one as you would run a leopard and see if it holds up. I'm deffo gonna try the 3674 2000kv

I have a Turnigy 3674 1900kv in a Miss Geico and it runs great. I have about 12 or so runs on the motor now and no probs at all. On 4s the boat is GPS'ing at just over 40mph with an Octura 640 prop on it.

Your on the money at 40mph + as it calculates out at 42.8mph with your given set up, So motor seems pretty good for the cost.

The GPS read 41.8 mph on the fastest run. I am quite happy with this motor for the price and am also happy with the setup the way it is. That hull is fun and still very drivable at that speed.
