Very cool might put one of these in my Rio instead of my 1717 motors. Would I be able to use the stock Rio prop ?

any idea if this motor would push a shockwave 55 with a 70mm prop on 7 or 8S ?

on 8s with the right prop your SW55 would kick!

i already have 5 X 70-72mm props and dont realy fancy the exspence of getting new big props.
would be fun to try for shure.

A 70mm prop I would say would push that motor a little to hard for its liking , I would start with a 55 - 57mm then work my way up .

Dans a good guy. He's been helping guys with low budget, high power setups for years. Far from a joke in my opinion.

I have a Neu 2230/1Y powered Sniper and use a Octuro X455/3 with awesome results . I would estimate the 2028 to be close in power

Castle specs say 30k rpm's max for the 2028............10s = 32760 @ 4.2v per cell. I guess 10s with voltage dip and load would be high 20's.................

I've known for MONTHS that these will be a GREAT motor for large FE boats, and have been discussing it with my sponsored drivers. The kv, size, and weight are perfect. I'll be trying one on 8s first, then 10s when it warms up a bit in a 43" mono, and a 40" hydro. I'll be running Hydra ICE 160's in both so I can datalog and check amps, volts, watts, etc. We'll DEFINITELY need a cooling jacket for this one!

                              it should sing on 10s
