I recommend the speedmaster stinger, very good quality, 83mm length and cheaper. 3/16 flex, teflon and 9/32" tube. the teflon just fits in the stinger very nicely.

If you want longer distance you can install a distance piece on the transom or elongate the stinger, but need to find out how ...
Are you talking about this 3/16" Speedmaster Stinger Strut? http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...os-stinger-str

What 3/16" prop shaft and what 3/16" flex shaft work fine with the Speedmaster Stinger?

    Thanks

            Alfa :

The Speedmaster Stinger is even better than the others.
            Why ?
You can adjust not only the angle, but also the HIGHT of the shaft !

            Lenght : 10% is not a "rule".
Works well on stepped mono's with a SAW-setup.
            For a normal setup/hull you don't necesseraly need 10%

Have this hull on the way for my Castle 1717. The old hull wasnt performing to my liking. Gonna run it on 6s............its 39.5".

Question is, which prop? I'm thinking in the x445, x447, x642, x645 range. Any suggestions are very welcome and appreciated!

I think the x452. Those props are kinda small for a hull that size. I ran the m545 on a castle 2200 with no heat issues. The 1717 will push those props without breaking a sweat!

If it is the thunder tiger OBL, it can do well with small props as well. I ve seen one with a prather 220 and a 642. Depends on the position of the strut, if it is low small props can work, if it is high you need bigger props.
Depends also on your esc, 225,230,445,645 are definately safe, then if temps-amps are ok bigger ones can be used
