I have a 200 HV that I just got and was supposed to be Brand new, Its in a 29" Mystic on 4S with Lehner 1940/4 Motor, batteries are Turnigy Nanotech 5600mah 2S. PUt it in the water it went 5ft and quit, motor , esc, and batteries weren't even warm to touch, everything was pretty much air temperature, took it out of the water lifted hatch, both capacitors on it blew right out of it.
Pretty tame setup for this caliber of ESC if you ask me. If I knew this was going to happen I would have just bought a $80 Seaking ESC.
Has anyone else ever had this happen? And what was the cause of it?

Also, using an HV esc with a LV motor is somewhat of a mismatch. In particular the caps are rated for 50V and you are only using 16V max. The LV ICE would work better are the lower voltage caps have greater capacitance for the same case size. You can help the situation by using an external cap back hardwired between the ESC and battery leads.
