wil the Turnigy Marine 180A handle a neu 1521 1y on 6s ?

as the title day. wil it handle it or wil it melt down ?

also been looking at the castle ice 200 and the Hifei Swordfish 240 but they are a little pricy in comparison.

I would say you should be fine, I'm sure some will disagree. My dads thundercat31 is running that motor on an etti 150a and extra caps with no problems.

heard alot of good things about the turnigy. but im a little worryed about taking it to the max on volts\amp.

You should have no trouble running the 180a with the DF 33 and props mentioned.

I run a 1527 1Y on 6s with the Turnigy 180a in a 45" mono...............runs cool.

I'll let you know after Sunday. Will be using one in an Aeromarine Sprintcat 40 with NEU 1527/1Y on 6S and X447/3 prop. Wish me luck!!

but wont a 152 1y pull WAY less amps then a 1521 1y on the same voltage ?
im looking at the FEcalc and it keeps telling me that the 1527 wil draw less ( about half) then what the 1521 wil. i know that FEcalc is not a accurate tool, but it should give a small indicator i think ( might be wrong)

The 1521 1 Y is alot of motor for a 33" mono on 6s. You are going to have to pin it down to keep it on the water. You may have to add up to a lb. of lead. Watch your temps.
It's going to scream when you get her dialed in.
The 21 and the 27 are apples and oranges.

the plan was to run the DF on 4 and 6S and just swap the prop`s
if i can keep it at around 50 mph on 6S with a 440 or 640 i wil be more then happy. i dont have water for oval here only sport\SAW but it would be fun to take it to the local club and race a little on 4S :)

You got to love the 1515 1Y on 4s in a 30ish" mono!!

You may not believe this but my Rico ended up weighing 10 lbs 5 oz. ready for race water and a bit of wind.

A 1515 1.5Y on 6s would be a sweet combo in that boat IMO.
