I am sure I can accomplish it if I know what to do. So I cut off shrink wrap from battery and re-solder the balance wire and the positive and negative wire? I use a mini torch to solder my bullets. Guess to solder this I would use a soldering iron? Thx Jeff

Firstly.
If you have a digital multimeter check the voltages of each cell at the balance plug. A dead cell will sometimes give false readings with cell checkers. Maybe one cell is dead.See the danger. THEN DO IT ANYWAY!!!

I would say that cell has totally discharged while under water. Perhaps a low resistance short at the balance plug, from something in the water, or in the connections at the pack.
If you do open the pack, you will need a multimeter to check each cell to find the problem. But it will be a throw away pack if it is a dead cell.
When I check a pack, I only carefully cut open the end first, just in case it is fixable at the connections. See the pics. That way I don't have to re shrink the whole thing. Just a couple of strips of deck tape to reseal it.
If the pack needs a cell removed or replaced, then I open up the whole pack.Attached FilesSee the danger. THEN DO IT ANYWAY!!!

I waited a week and then tried to charge these today. The one with the funny numbers wouldn't take a charge. Scrap heap for it I guess. The other one seemed to take a full charge on my charger. Readings after it had charged are:
No1 4.18
No2 4.16
All 8.23
Is this lipo ok? Thx JeffComment

You need to put a full load on it to find out,
Looking a the readings it looks ok to test out.
The other one you need a NiMH charger to maybe bring it back up slowly to the right volts.Comment
