I was looking at what you were telling me to do 1 question. I need to purchase a 6s1P balancer connecter correct ? thanks chris

This can be done as long as you always connect the main pack wires the same and correct way. Switch pos & negs and you will see sparks.
      As me how I know.

Here you can get the 2S 4S combo connector: http://hyperion-world.com/products/type/18

Scroll down to find the connector that suits your needs as hey have several connectors for different chargers etc...

Here is the basic idea of how individual packs are wired. If you were to switch the balance connectors around it could cause a spark and possible damage. Likewise if you were to leave the balance connectors as they are and move a cell (disconnect) and place it in a different position you would need to re-wire the balance lead otherwise same spark or damage.

In picture #1 in post #1 you have basically 2 packs heat shrink together. If you were to switch the main leads (that are connected in the picture, you have one set of pos+ and neg- connected) and connected the other pair then there is a problem with parks and your charger not liking the configuration.

If it was me, I would get a 6S balance housing and put all connectors into it properly and hard wire the pair of leads connected in the picture but, maybe your balance leads are not long enough for that. In that case a 6S balance connector with leads on it could be used to splice the 2 balance connectors together. These are cheap I have some of THESE around if you need one or more. They sell some individually too.

Because Hyperion uses a different wire configuration they keep the large harness even for a 2S pack. It's done this way for certain type of goof proofing with their chargers. All you have to do is move the wires (one at a time) out of their slots and into the right slots that the 4S receptacle on the charger will accept. Problem solved. What charger are you using ? I bet it is not Hyperion.

Now I got it. You are using adapters that are HXT config and you are using Hyperion packs. That is why it gives you the error message. You can reconfigure the wiring for the 2S pack so this works fine as I posted above.

O.k. here we go. I grabbed my last pair of 7 yr old 2S Hyperion packs to show you how to reconfigure them so they do not error out using the connector boards you have.

In the picture you will see a black lead in the top, a red lead at the bottom and another black lead just above the red, this leaves 2 slots open in the middle.

If you take the black wire out of the plastic harness using a needle or something very thin to press down the spring tab it will pull out cleanly. Take that lead and insert it just below the top black wire, Now remove the red lead and insert it below the black wire you just moved.

You can now balance it with the connector boards you have. You have basically reconfigured it to be in HXT mode or configuration. The 4S pack is done already.

This is why I dislike Hyperion balance taps and really like HXT configuration.

Again if you want to balance the 4S & 2S pack together you will need a 4S 2S connector BUT, if you buy it from Hyperion, do not do my reconfigure as it will error out again.

I would stick with one configuration or the other.

What charger are you using? If it's not Hyperion maybe reconfiguration is best but, I leave that up to you.

Below is my just reconfigured Hyperion 2S pack in a HXT connector board.

                  Chris,
I thought its already came with 6s balancer connector and just missing 2 black (negative) wire of cell number 5 and 6, if its not then yes, you have to buy a 6s balance connector, sorry for late respond.

That's your best direction since you have Hyperion charger(s).
