3min 30sec on the Grimmracer Batteries keeps them at around 100 degrees, prop didn't matter much. G-Force batteries are still hot 125-132 at 3min work in progress with them. Any idea on prop size?

The props you have are all ok sizes. For longer runtimes try putting 2 packs in parallel (2P). Also try adjusting prop height/angle and COG to get the boat running at the right attitude. Don't get too hung up on the roostertail, although a long flat tail is what you want.

Thanks, I will give that a try. Is there a formula to figure out what battery one needs, if you have the motor size, kv and esc?

There realy isn't a hard formula for it. There are too many variables that affect current draw. The revolt needs 5000 ma packs. With the props you have this will give you a safe run under 5 mins. Just for the sake of using up the packs you have you could run two 4000ma packs in parallel to creat an 8000ma pack. You should be ok for 6-7 minutes.
