I run a 46" mono with a 740kv 5692 leopard, there was a lot of debate as to whether it was a 10s or 12s motor but in the end I've settled for 9s/ 10s as this gives me everything I need without running my equipment on the limit

I too was lured in with the thoughts that bigger builds and higher voltage equal better boats and more fun, if you have bottomless pockets maybe but I don't and I learned quickly that I much preferred running my smaller boats than worrying every time I sent the big mono onto the lake whether it would burst into flames or sink! As a result it sits on the shelf most of the time!

Thanks for the feedback, building a DF Sniper 45, going to try 10s with the paralell setup I mentioned above, to a castle HV200 and 2028.
