My shipment of wires and 5.5 connectors arrive tomorrow so I'm trying to get all of the brain work done so all I have to do is solder tomorrow. I have a Spartan and the ESC is wired stock for series with Traxxas connectors. I plan on running both series and parallel setups for 4/5/6s.
Here is what I need help with:
Should I run + and - from the ESC out about 3" and put connectors there? Then I could make S and P adaptors to plug in there and run out to the batteries. I'm trying to do this with as few connectors inline as possible.
OR
Should I run + and - from the ESC out about 6". Then to run S, I would just have to use a jumper across between the packs and there would be 1 less connection. Of course the parallel adaptor would still be the same.
Also, on a side note. Is there a specific order that I should use to plug everything in? All of my experience so far has had + and - being connected simultaneously. Should I connect the packs to the adaptors first and then to the ESC or vice versa?
Thanks for the help guys.
