I contacted him several times with different questions ensuring the condition of the battery. He emailed me his online receipt with date of purchase and he was very disappointed that the battery only sold for half what he had paid. (1 bid at starting price) The battery arrived as it would normally. No connectors, heatshrink over both ends and a cable holding the wires in place. Not a mark on the battery. Foam sheet underneath.

That's what I have been blaming..my charger. It said 16.8 but when I checked the cells it didn't add up. I got confused when it charged my other battery fine but not the Hyperion.
What wattage charger would you recommend?

Sounds like the pack was fine then. There are so many chargers it is difficult to identify good ones. I have had great luck with the simple AstroFlight 109, half my club uses them with great results - there must be near twenty of them in the club. I have used several mid-range Hyperions too with good success.

I have been looking at the I Charger 208B 350W - meant to be a precision charger. Has had all good reviews.

We saw the same thing with NiCd and NiMH cells - pack assemblers offering cells from the same manufacturer - but with far different pricing. What you weren't told was that the cheaper packs were made from the low performance and reject cells from the cell factory, and the higher priced packs were made from the hand-picked "best" cells. Same thing is happening today. You actually can get what you pay for.

Cheap packs often advertize inflated 'C' and capacity ratings, knowing that the consumer won't or can't check to see if they are accurate. Comparing two packs from different assemblers in the same boat proves little if the tester doesn't stress the packs or run them for a full season. Cheap packs may work fine at 60 amps, but often fade above 120 amps. They may give up after 25 cycles. I've seen too many fail or burn up even when stressed within their "posted" specs.

I'm not saying don't buy cheap packs - some are clearly good enough for many uses. The Gens Aces may be great, I don't know. If I was a sport runner I'd probably buy the cheaper packs, but as a racer I understand that all the energy in an FE boat is held in the packs. No matter what motor or ESC you use, your performance is ultimately limited by the quality of your packs. Value and low price are not the same thing.

Hi I have been told that there will be another DE Factory (probably Germany). Plans are being finalized. I'm also awaiting new factory.

I believe they do but not sure just where. You can go to www.haiyinstore.com and click on contact and send them an email and ask the question. I've talked with the sales manager a bit and I believe they are also in Europe but not positive.

There won't be a FACTORY in Germany, just a sales warehouse.

There is a thread in RCGROUPS about the Haiyin batteries. Might be more info there.

I pretty much only use hyperions and thunder power cells now I find they are truly the best for what i do and need I have bought many types of cells over the years only to come to see that there is no comparison you get what you pay for as for chargers I been using hitec with a seperate power supply for all my planes and jets and boat batteries for a while now and find them to work really well and be very reliable.
                              Thanks

So running a 4s2p Hyperion 45c 4200 set up in my Delta Force I have found that their is a significant amount of power from them. As I have posted elsewhere "Just what my motor needed!" but I also have Nano-Techs they are 35-70c and they are pretty good themselves. Time and cycles should prove the worth of the Hyperions. I have also seen very good results from that of the Nano 45-90c batts. Some matching that of Hyperion in performance.
Does anybody run the 45-90c Nano Techs on here?
