Thanks, great forum... After much reading, I figured that would be the best charger... I know I'm going to get slammed for this, but on an impulse buy a few weeks ago I bought my girls the Spartan to see if I could get them interested in fe.... So far they are beginning to like it and 25-30 is fast enough for them for now... I own a large machine shop and did the mods to make it run cool, same setup as jprimani... I just moded stock rudder instead of making one.. I feel bad for everyone else who bought that boat and was misled... I can get an 8 min runtime, I'm guessing at mid 40's, he gpsd his at 48, so I might be getting the same... I know that's too much for plastic, but it's a good toy for my kids... I now have my itch back, and am going to build a proper FE... Thank's all for the info. I'll start a new post when I decide which boat to start with... I would like to be around 30-40 inch, hit mid sixties, decent runtimes, and not start from stripped hull...any suggestions... Please feel free to move this post to the appropriate place.... Thanks again, and I'm sure that I'll be tapping into the vast knowledge on this forum.... Please be nice, I know, the Spartan is a toy....

P.S. If anyone needs anything machined, I'm in Florida, and will be glad to help...

why woul you be slammed for getting a spartan ?
from what i understand the spartan is a ok boat. it have its isshues on 6S but from what i understand it is a realy good one for 4-5s.

if you whant 30-40" mid 60`s and runtimes i hope you have a nice and thick wallet sinse things start to chost when it goes fast.
if you say 30-35" and 45-55 mph you can have decent runtimes for a ok price :)
