Thanks guys. I am at the point I need to figure out how I am gonna mount my motor. I am using a Leopard 4074 in this build.

You'll find plenty of good choices for motor mounts. I personally prefer the simplicity of the Insane FE30 mount for non-mono applications. GFlexed to 3/32" birch ply for strength (especially on a hull with a thin, flexible bottom like the MV), it's simple and structurally sound

This, with an integrated ESC platform went into a Jersey Skiff

have a couple question for you guru guys, i have a mv and did a conversion using a Leopard Brushless Inrunner 2000Kv 4-Pole, Seaking 120A V3, 460 prop sharpened and balanced. servo is a traxxas waterproof mounted in the rear of the hull . my issue is, im running a 4s 2200 single battery for testing purposes, it will barely get up to mabe 10 mph and that's with the battery sitting rear behind the motor toward the back of the hull, if i move the battery to anything close to being at a balancing point of the hull it just want to go nose first under water , could this be an issue with attempting to run a single battery , Ive changed the prop angle mutable times with very little to no luck, any help would be greatly appreciated..

To start with a x460 prop is WAAAAAAAY too big and a 2200mah battery is WAAAAAAY too small what's the c rating, not that it matters with 2200mah. Prop it down to about a x447 and buy some 5000mah at least 45c batteries to start

c rating on the 2200 is 45-90,i run them in my bullet, looks like its time to order a prop and batteries, thank you for the quick reply, this has been driving me nuts, any other input is always appreciated, on the batteries should i do 2x 2s 5000?

joysway bullet, 27 inch mono, fun little boat, running 2815 outrunner, 50a esc stock,, ive added a x462 prop and trim tabs and have been running a 2200 4s 45-90c , decent run times ,boat jumps out of the water on a full trigger launch, very touchy on the steering tho. but fun boat for playing around with.

                            I'd do 2x 4s

my esc is only good for max 6s, i read somewhere were someone did the conversion and used a single 4 or 5s but set were the original battery box was,and his cg was almost 2 inches behind the sponson tips, does that even sound anything remotely possible ? also how would a x440 prop do.. i have one from when i ran gas boats.. like 15 years ago..lol..

Do them in parallel not series. you could do 2x 6s in parallel too or 2x 3s in series for 6s
