Yeah buddy, that's the way, don't give up on yer vessel..
I'm tellin' you bud, mine has been busted up REAL good SEVRAL times, but it still ticks. I blueprinted the bottom on mine which I'lll have pics for you soon, made a HUGE difference in the handling and power harnessing abillity.

Versatile little sucker, though It was set up originally as what I call a 'Big Block Micro" (one that holds an 05 sized motor). It runs SPLENDID on a 19-turn brushed motor and 2s lipo, let me tell you. Randy was absolutely thrilled when he saw how fast that cheap little setup got it goin'. I really like the boat. It was a struggle to make it work with so much power, but I got it.

I feel that the Micro Scat Cat although a micro taught me tons about cats. I came up with a few theories and discovered that it was the direction the fast guys had recently started going.

I run the strut shallow. it diminished any hop, and settled the hull quite well in the water..

bill id really like to see what you mean by blueprinting the bottom im very close to giving up on it but their might be a shred of hope left, after the repair the epoxy added a lot of weight to that side and im finding it very hard to get good balance.

            thanks,
            James

are you running lipo`s in parallel inside each sponson?

Yessir, 2p one in each sponson..
                        I'm running 4200's I was running 500's before!
With a big block, you'll need the weight of the cells to make it work, plus cats tend to eat up amps pretty good..

i have 2 2s 1250mah packs that i would run in parallel with my feigao 11s i also have a 3s 1550 pack and i can probably pick up another one to run in parallel

how far forward are you running your packs?

                          thanks,
                          James

Sounds great! I'd start out with 2s though to get the strut depth/angle and cg right..
You'll want to mount the strut nearly as high as it will go..

I've got the packs pretty far forward, but it will depend on your setup..
CG too far forward in that hull will cause hop beceause the weight is in the deadrise of the bow causing it to dip when the boat "settles"

Its the least I could do. bestow the Knowledge that was passed down to me from one of the greatest micro builders to ever live microhydros.com

As well as TREMENDOUS help and guidance from Mr. Randy Naylor.

Naylor designs arguably some of the fastest micro hulls on the planet.
The micro hydro bewilders me how much speed an power it can handle.

I was considering shooting for N-2 sport hydro with it Lol..
The thought DID cross my mind though
