Kent's ETTI Oriental Dragon mono build...

Well...here's just about everything I need for the build...just need to start mocking things up as far as the CofG goes...

By the way...any help or ideas always welcome...I may need some!

Transom ply doubler cut out, installed and sealed with epoxy...

Installed drive hardware...Stinger and rudder still need to be cut down (rudder was drilled and mounted offset for better handling in turns)...

Here is a mockup of motor, lipos and ESC...the boat is balanced at about 30% right where everything in the pics sits. I'm just not sure if the ESC is going to be mounted on the flood chamber wall or not. Also need to figure out if the boat needs a little more weight on the flood chamber side of the boat...anybody out there know? I'm pretty sure that it does...not 100% sure though (first F C boat for me)...

What you gain turning right will you lose when turning left ?

I like running clockwise and don't really do any figure eight Rebel driving. The offset rudder is a setup that John Finch (Twin Craft boats) uses with his nitro mono setups...He knows how to dial in monos!!

sorry if i sound like a complete newb here (which i am lol) but what is the purpose of the flood chamber

The flood chamber helps the boat self right when it has flipped. When the boat flips, water rushes into the flood chamber causing that side to get heavier, sink, and have the boat self right.

My triton only needed a little extra weight to self right. It's kinda trial and error in the tub. What kv is that 380l? I really like the look of that little hull!

How do sir! The 380 8L is a 3633kv motor...should work out ok. I'm sure i'm not going to break any big records...just want it to be ok in speed and a good handling boat (prop side down...LOL!)

I ran that same motor in a mini vortex hydro on 3s. Total overkill for that hull. Gps'd over 40 mph. It sould move that hull really well!!
