boat is wire drive, and if you look the rudder is on the right side, the servo is lined up straight with the rudder ......... see second picture

Why not the steeringrod on the left arm of the rudder, and servo left from the center ?
With a singledrive cat you want as much weight on the left side as possible ?

First... for oval racing... I'd prefer the single steering rod to "pull" the rudder, rather than push... especially when having to use a bent-up steering rod.

However, the servo location on this boat was determined by where the steering rod needed to be. That's just where it was when I got the boat from the original builder. It worked fine there originally, and I didn't want to remount all the hardware.

Honestly, I'd prefer to set the hull up balanced down the center, then adjust weight with things that can be moved... but that's just me. As you can see in this picture from when I originally set this up, the servo weight is balanced by the RX weight.

Looks good, Todd... Now... stop tweaking it and start DRIVING IT!

You need to start racing, Dude... ALL of you "Sport Boaters" need to start racing! It'll QUADRUPLE your fun-factor...
