Well I guess this is about as early as you can start taking pics of a build, unless of course I took pics of it still in the box. All comments, suggestions, and advice are welcome.
Alvin
Great start!
My next renegade (because I'm shelving the one pictured in your manual) will have the rear sponson boom all the way fwd. like this...
(yes that's my boat pictured on the instructions)
Oh yeah baby! Those sponsons look killer moved forward like that!!
Alvin, Danny (Diegoboy) has THE rigger in the well known Vids that you have probably already seen!!(ooooooriginal)...I love the "Miss Blow Me"! LOL!!
Good call to shelve that one Danny! Even though you HAVE that one, I am proud to say that I built my own kit...and it works extremely well (Just my own self gratification here)...Alvin, you have an awesome boat here that you're building!!
Danny...Lets see the build! I would love to know how that works out man!! Who's boat (in the pic) is that?
Haven't thought of a paint scheme yet. Been wanting to do a General Lee boat but not sure. Then again I have always had Hooters boats and I currently do not own any.
Danny...Lets see the build! I would love to know how that works out man!! Who's boat (in the pic) is that?
That is Steve Elias's Boat. My renegade's little sister.
As you can see in that pic, the sponsons are not the same as a stock rebegade. I plan to use the stock renegade sponsons, which will put the front boom more fwd of the tub. I plan to install supports for the front boom like the Mr. Krabs has! Credit to Dirtysouth31 for the idea!!

Reason: double post
When I first read this thread, I was going to make the suggestion, till I kept reading and saw the pic of the booms installed. If it's not too late, I'd doi it! It should make the boat handle like a much bigger boat, w/o the weight.
I figure total build cost should be about $300.00
Has anyone tries 2s in this boat yet. I am asking because I have a couple of 1600mah 2s packs here waiting for my 16th Revo.
