    The boogieman build

It showed up today....I personaly think its the Prince hull with a knockoff of the DM sniper deck in mini format...its from China and the seller has named it "boogieman"

I will build it and document it all here in this thread....hope you enjoy (its my first complete build ) and i'm sure I can do it with the help from these forums

First it was packed very very nicely and looked pretty protected...now as far as quality of the product I will say I think many of you would consider it to be below the grade of manufacturers like DF....although I have never seen a bare hull from DF I would say it has to be better than this.........keep in mind this is a black hull and I would think blemishes would show up 10 fold.....I think that a white hull would maybe look better JMHO........does it look solid and well built as far as durabilty?....HELL YA....its feels very solid and I would def buy again even with the blemishes because i'm going to beat the tar out of it anyway.....If your into shelf Queens and show boats I dont think this is what your looking for.

Please comment honestly you wont hurt my feelings because i'm very satisfied with my purchase

      here it is

The main problem I see is the seal where the deck meets the hull...you can see a thin line of white because of the black top and bottom and I think I will fix this with a thin pin stripe

this thing smells and feels like it was built pretty darn recently..the inside still feels sticky or tacky in spots

number one do you think I should cf the floor in this small build?

          Nick,

Do not be afraid to build, or even push this hull. I bought one for my son in yellow. His runs a Feigo 8L, Etti ESC, 8 round GPs, X437/3 and SM hardware. It runs like it's on rails, and loves the rough water. We had an issue in the beginning and it turned out to be the trim tabs. It prefered the above set up and NO tabs. The original issue was hooking in the turns. We removed the tabs altogether and haven't looked back!

The low gloss on yours can be cleaned up with some rubbing compound. It looks like it still has the mould release on it.

FYI; we did not need to CF the hull, and I usually do on all of our hulls.

          Good luck!

Thanks Johnny....very incouraging info for sure.....when I first felt how solid she feels I didnt think it needed any CF...there is no flex at all....I'm not going to install the tabs untill we run it....I can allways add them later if needed

Sweet looking ride, man. Have you thought about laying in some rails for the motor mount? I like the black, can't wait to see how you work this bad boy!

all i can say is this: RAILS ROCK. I have them for the first time in my DF33 and they rule. they allow you to get your motor positioned perfectly and then hold it there no matter how bad the driving. the motor mounts for these rails hold front and back of motor ROCK solid. needless to say, I am now hooked.

Make sure you have a nice block exactly 4" or whatever the width of mount you want to use when you install them. Otherwise, you could just mount up the motor and then drop them in and glue the hell out of em, even cover the joint with fg (although its harder to keep it lit that way).

                      boatfan its 25"

J i just tried to set the rails in the boat and they take up to much room in this narrow small boat...it leaves no room for batts on the side

so I'm going to a modified OSE mount...question to you guys ..I'm thinking of starting my COG at 8" off the front of the motor to outside of the transom

                      thought from anyone?

what your looking at is a 3 1/4" spread between rails
