A'ight I got her wet! Weighing in at nearly 6 lbs of raw muscle and a couple of dead nicads (for ballast) she is up and away. Sorry for the vid, had to ask fellow fence post to do camera work.

I see I need more rudder control as well as a little more strut to loosen her up and reduce the cavitation on the get go.

All in all, pretty cool. I was afraid she would submarine and not come back up due to the weight.

Nope, no slack. If you had five bad boys under construction, and a hovercraft then maybe.

I wanna see the Vegas rock some small pond too! Lemme guess, she is waiting for some part.. Ok, well when you find your prop and get all your parallel builds done and you get back from rescuing your submarine then let us know how the Vegas is doin...

While you are at it, why not build me a rescue boat too, I am comin on a need to buy something......................................... .....

my rescue project is a little cheapie shockwave 26.... i'm making a 3/4" pvc cage system for the boat to fit into and I'm making it have reverse to manuver better for a boat that gets stuck on the oposite side of the canal we started running in for speed runs...its nothing special but it should work even with the funky strudder system the shockwave has

I'm still tuning, but people say to start with the same depth of the sponsons.

I go measure now. Yes I got her wet, but it was too high. I dropped it down some and can give you that untested measurement. Is your canal the only place to run boats? why not come on out and we can go to some real ponds here? You will need some room for that lady.

well after looking at it again its not that deep but will be hard to get a measurement

I pretty sure I have decided to use my 1515/2.5d 1650 kv in her with hydra 120 on 5s or 6s....if that esc wont cut ir I have a brand new Turnigy HV 100amp water cooled any opinions...I would like to hit 55 to 60 mph on glass water

I'm also going to CF the whole floor for strength and some more weight

                          opinions please

deep is relative. The bottom of my strut is now at the same depth as the sponsons (7/8"). Have you run a hydro yet? You need to go try it.

Remember, depth controls the rear, angle controls the bow. If she runs too wet, angle it up (and vice versa). If she cavitates too much drop her down. If her back end is all over the place and doesn't tighten up in the turn, bring her back up a touch.

Its a trial and error thing. Depends on your COG, total weight and water conditions. Hydros are the most touchy to adjustments, so do one at a time until you start to get the feel.
