@ Brushless 55 - Yes without the drag in the water.

I can vouch for the fact that Grahams Jolly cat runs flat, true and fast.
Full size Offshore cats run adjustable tunnel tabs, Ive toyed with the idea of running a heli Gyro controlled tunnel tab on a cat, one of those to-dos

          flaps

OK, great idea guys that was the ticket.

I fabricated a temporary flap just before heading out this morning..... I will be making it permanent. After a first spin with my mega-down struts, I raised them to flat and lowered the flap and wallah! she runs smooth and flat. I need to make it a little more rigid, the clothes pin wasn't quite up to the force.

Here are some shots of what I made. I will be adding the vid soon, need to make a Zicha-worthy movie.

Thanks again for the great and problem-solving input!

My cat was giving me brain damage trying to figure out a cure until Joseph Toth ( Mr Toysport) came up with the wedge mod, I just copied the concept.

Here is a little more vid, with some interior shots and a final gps reading of the 5S run. The 4S run was 34 mph and still hoppy. I just siliconed the new more rigid flap in and made me a tightening bracket to keep the flap rigid at mach 3 speeds (well maybe 1.5 with Proboat motors). I will post shots of the tunnel flap design with next vid of it in use.

I hope to upgrade the motors soon, but on 6S last night she nearly hit 50, and with the rigid tunnel flap adjusted right, I am sure she will. After the 6S run no electronics were above 100F..... still can't believe.... low KV motors ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great jesse! Not to be the "bummer guy" but.... Why does this hull require mods like this plate?? Shouldnt a hull be suffficient as is? Not that i dont love your boat jesse, i just know i would be and will be super pist if hull mods like this are (neede) inorder for the hull to work properly.. Its not like its doing 90 mph and the hull wasnt designed for the speed.is there other intruder builds and footage? To me if this mod was a necessity , it would have been included in the desin of the hull.. Jesse, lets do legg lake!!!
