If you want, I can sent one up? I will micromeasure again when I get home - at work right now. looks really cool! Ok, can't wait anymore. No, seriously, if it would make the job easier, I can send one up and you just throw it in when you ship the stuff down. Otherwise, just go a tad big and I can put in some padding... might be better that way. measurements on the way!

Jesse Sending one down would guaranty perfect fit , I know exactly how I am going to finish these . will write the code next for the plate to connect both front and rear motor mount . Hex head bolts will be counter sunk on the backside of the plate connecting it and the two mounts , then mounting holes in the plates both ends to bolt to the hull

      My addy in your PM

Man, I am now tempted to ship you the whole boat... Not cheap but as you say, would guarantee perfection......

Ok, I'm not tempted any more to send you the boat; the motor itself cost $25 to ship. Why do you have to live in Canada? They said 5 days to arrive..... not the best but at least we will be absolutely sure. One thing you might not be considering (since I didn't include in the drawring are the water inlet/outlet nipples on the cooling can. Anyway, you will have it shortly and I am obviously not in that big of a rush to have it done less than perfectly.

Holy crap Jesse there wasn't any cheaper shipping . The mounts have 8 mounting holes if there is an obstruction the motor can be turned to avoid it

            Thanks for sending it

Peter, you should have the motor by now; please tell me you do...

I got the struts, what do you guys think, sexy or what? They still need their drive lines and stuffing tubes. I need to send one of these off to Jeff today so he can get my .078 wire drives hooked up to the right stub. These are Tough Racing Strut SB for .187 cable, even though I will be using wire. They are 6mm bushings so I want Jeff to have them in hand to be sure they will be as perfect as the rest of the build.

Anyway, here are pics of recent updates. Got Top Secret rudder mounted, blind nuts into cross-ways sandwiched and quadrupled 1/8" ply transom backer glued in with Marine Epoxy. I am using a high torque, ball bearing water-proof digital servo from Traxxas, and made my own servo mount out of aluminum angle stock and glued that in with silicone to allow for the limited flex that it might experience in the tunnel - epoxy can be brittle. I like to use .078 piano wire on these high force set ups to be sure all of the servo throw is going to rudder movement - although I will probably be using verrrrry little throw to turn this baby at top speed.

You can see the doubled 1/8" ply sandwiched cross ways and glued in with Marine Epoxy. Ready for stuffing tubes and drive lines! I am not rushing this, as perfection takes extreme luck, or significant time (and dough). I threw some adhesive vinyl on just to see how she might look with some paint, and of course the dudes need a windscreen to see out of!

Jesse are you ok with working out your own straps

And do you want the mount to boat holes drilled through or taped 10/32
