Top speed for the Simrad Cat so far is 64.5 mph / 103.8 klm/h.
This is with a set of octura x442 s/b cupped.
So with the new 30c thunder power lipos and the new ABC props , should be very interesting.
I will keep you informed how those ABC props turn out .

        447's?

        Wolf,
just curious, why not run the 447's, will it pull too many amps?

        Cheers...Tim.

The reason I ask is we are about to start testing my friends twin cat - 1.1 mts with twin 1515 1Y's running 5S, we have been recommended 442"s to start with and 447's. ESC's are Castle 240's.

The 1515 1.5Y on 5S has very similar RPM to the 1515 1.5D's on 4S, so prop speeds will be very close to what you are acheiving.

        Thanks....Tim.

.MY BOAT WEIGHS ALOT FOR THE HIGH RPM MOTORS AND SHE PULLS ALOT OF AMPS. IM RUNNING THE HI MODEL ESC'S AND T
HEIR PROBABLY NOT AS EFFICIENT AS THE 240'S ( BUT CHEAPER).. 447'S WILL BE TOO MUCH TO RUN THROUGH A SET OF LIPOS. WOULD WORK AS A SAW SET UP BUT SPEEDS WOULDNT BE MUCH OVER MID 70 MPH IM GUESSING AND IM NOT DOING THE SAWS JUST TRYING TO SQUEEZE IN AT 70 MPH. ( PERSONAL GOAL)

BONEWAR ,WELL THIS IS WHAT CHUCK THINKS WILL WORK, HE KNOWS BEST!! LOOKING FORWARD TO GETTING THEM! THIS IS AN EMAIL FROM CHUCK TODAY : "I was thinking that I would still detongue them a bit to increase the overall pitch and cup them a bit to narrow the thrust cone along with the added 2 degrees. Who does this sound to you?"

              Wolf,

That sounds very good. I think you will get there with these props. You know the drill mate , Couple of laps check temps , speed , Good luck dude .
Can you video the run for us , I love watching that Timo off yours scream across the water.

Also if they don't do the job maybe these ABC props I'm trying will do it.
I'll keep you informed what happens with them.
