outrageous work, wolf. I am thoroughly impressed with the detail you are working into every corner of this build. Fortunately my intruder hull is surprisingly rigid for fiberglass, and I don't think I will need CF - not looking for excessive speeds. I will be very interested to see this lady on the water! I have just seen the bar raised on what I would like to do with mine. Some nice paint, good decals and lots of air intake scoops. Maybe even some good exhaust vents too.

Where are you? Think if we could run these babies together maybe have a medium-big cat club - Camel?

My goal always is push the limmits of everything. Man i wish i would learn as its costed me lots of $$$$ i built an el lobo 4 ( 32'') shallow mono actually two of them.. First one had a 2250/13 on 10's and totalled it after 2 years and then built another with a 1527 1y on 8s and it was beutiful.. This is just before i put bigger trim tabs on it( unfortunantly i didnt get footage of it trimmed out the following day) and hit 58mph the next day. Then i stuffed it and buckled it as well..i finally admitted to the hulls not being long eneph and not deep eneph.. But i knew this to begin with.heres the run and pics of the boats.. MAN I LOVED THEM SOO MUCH!

My wife and I are really wanting to make a Xmas/NewYears holiday at our favorite California beach - in Newport Beach... sounds like it might be kinda close? At least from here it would be. We are thinking of hopefully a week down there, and I already warned her I would be bringing some boats and find a buddy to go run em a couple times... I will let you know how our plans evolve, would be good to meet you and make boats go really fast together!!!!

Just watched your vids, nice! those look really good on the water - I think you might have a bit too much air under your hull. Those shallow vees probably need more weight or possibly just more weight forward. Your strut angle looks pretty good and they look really cool skittering along!

when the cat gonna get some wet? How long is that - I didn't see it in the thread.

Isn't there any better place? a nice lake or something where you can really move and let it all hang out?

Wait, did you say for your honeymoon you stayed in a brothel? how was that.... oh ya, "don't ask don't tell...." I didn't ask.

The boat looks great. Any chance you could tell me the process and type of paint you used. I just got a hull I'd like to paint.
                            Thanks

i prepped the hull by using scotch brite and sanding in every dirrection, not circles. filled seems blemeshes w/komb pot putty and sanded/ block sanded perfect with 400/600 grit. sprayed transtar 2 in 1 primer (can).1-2 coats or until perfect -no pits, blemeshes. sanded one last time with 600 grit lightly to make smooth as can be. tape off unwanted paint areas..now as far as paint goes, i go to "the paint store" wich carries all the highest quality paints and they can help. i use PLC, house of kolor and other brands. this was a 3 stage paint job so i spayed a silver base PLC 1:1 course-silver w/ exempt fast reducer, 3 coats 20 min between coats, and a transparent orange1:1 w/exempt fast reducer 3-4 coats again 20 min between coats( stay away from transparent until youve sprayed a couple boats) . its a little challenging to get even coats as its transparent. the more coats the darker the color.. crazy in the sun!!!!!!!! wait an hour then spray your clear. i do one fat even coat. if done right you wont need to color sand it at all , as the maritimo. (stay away from drips,.) for the clear it was a PCL super- pro clear with super- pro clear multi-panel catalist . as clear coats i use dont have the hardner built in the paint .LET SIT ((hang)) FOR 24 HRS OR UNTIL DRY. GOOD LUCK AND EXPECT DRIPS IF YOVE NEVER SHOT PAINT BEFORE. USE A REPORATOR SUTIBLE FOR THE JOB WITH ADAQUIT VENTALATION BUT AS TO NOT STIR UP ANY PARTICLES INTO THE AIR I.E PAINT. USE STRAINERS AND HAVE ACETONE FOR CLEAN UP, BUT BE CAREFUL AS IT WILL REMOVE YOUR BEUTIFUL PAINT JOB! I WAS TAUGHT HOW TO PAINT/MOLD/FIBERGLASS/EPOXY, HE ALSO GAVE ME ENEPH PEARL(S) TO LAST ME 30-40 BOATS... HIS NAME IS JIMMY-C . HE PAINTED MY FIRST BOAT AND $500-800 A BOAT WAS TOO MUCH AFTER A WHILE. HE TAUGHT ME WELL.. THERES DIFFERENT WAYS AND PAINT , BUT THIS IS HOW I DO IT. HERES THE GUY WHO TAUGHT ME ALL I KNOW www.kustomart.com/

Thanks, thats great information. I've painted a dozen or so rc car bodies but this will be my first time painting a boat. I'll keep it simple for the first one.
