There is a great point here. Large gas boats are relative to FE boats much cheaper to build and if you like fiddling with porting, polishing, exhausts, etc. They are fun.
As another point I loved cutting the com and replacing or cleaning up the brushes on the brushed motors. Yeah, I know I am daft.
