Very nice Doug, what sort of speed are we talking? What was the final $$ bill? Some of these big gassers go hard and are cheaper than FE to build and run! I hope you offset the carbon emitions.................
Thanks fellas,
It was cheaper than my 31" P-Mono.
Just under $800.00. I got a deal on the hull and the engine mods. I don't know what it's runnng speed wise. I'll throw a GPS in it next time out.

its good deal for sure, full mod 260 is about $500...already, i will take it too if i were you , your boat look super clean, just keep it that way.
I am not fully qualified in FE and know less about costs of smelly motors, but I do know 2 things.
Smelly noisy boats are a LOT less expensive to set up for a given hull size.
I know way too much about small engines to ever want one in a boat or any high performance model for that matter.
I like the look, sound and runtime available . Gas is just not for me.
That is a very nice looking boat and setup there Doug.
See it....find the photos.....sketch it it....build it........with wood
My experience of fuel powered boats is limited to watching the gas guys at my local pond here in the UK. After many observations, I have come to the conclusion that gas boats are merely devices for turning petrol into noise. Of course, this probably says more about how inept my local "gassers" are, rather than anything about gas boats in general...
Don't get the wrong impression guys, I love my FE boats and have NO INTENTIONS of giving them up.
Just so happens I love racing too and this gives me another class or two to enter in. Running gas boats has also improved my driving slills, LOTS of wheel time.
Sure there are guys running slow gas boats just like there are guys running slow FEs. In both cases the guys with the fast boats are the ones who have taken the time, and put forth the effort get them set up properly.
Yeah they're stinky and noisy, but so were my kids at one time.
Thanks for the kind words on the build.
Doug
PS Steven I haven't timed any runs but I would guess with this mono and 16oz of fuel on board, the runtime is around 10 min full out with the throttle pegged. My cat will run a bit longer.
