    H&M Drifter S build

I will be starting my build on the Drifter S hull I received from Doug Robichaud's estate sale. I hope I can maybe build this close to Doug's specs, he was a perfectionist!

I'm thinking of calling it Drobie's Revenge.

    My parts list.

    Blue H&M Drifter S
    Feigao 540 7XL with Hydra 240 esc.
    XL Cooling Jacket.
    Water cooled motor mount.
Inline strut and rudder with .150 Cable. Going to run the cable with NO teflon in a 7/32" k&s brass stuffing tube.
    Hitec 311 servo or equivalent.
    Octura 5mm to .150 coupler.

    (2) 2s lipo in series.

Times been pretty limited lately, so the pictures my be a bit scarce.

I have to measure to be exact, but about 25-26" or so.

It sounds like she'll be a screamer. Drobie would approve of the name I think....

My other drifter didn't like large diameter props so I hope to end at a x640, maybe x642. As my usual testing pattern, with this size boat I'll start with a x438, x440, x637, and hopefully be able to settle in around a x640 or x642.

The "Doug's Revenge" build was a bit delayed(lol) but after a couple of nights with little sleep, it will debut at the 2010 nats. It hasn't hit the water yet, so it will be a miracle if it runs correctly. But maybe Doug will help me out in that respect!

                  I ended up with a
1515 1d and Castle Ice 200, and Hughey .187 cable.

Yea steve on my bj mods I am not running a liner with the 7/32" tubing also. If I did the liner
looks like it would give to much drag to the flex, and if I ran the1/4" tubing with .150 flex
the liner is just to loose and would need to be glued in, good luck on your build.

Here are the crappy phone pictures.
I still have to add a rx, antenna tube and clean up the wiring & water tubing.

                            A 540XL isn' t too big for a Drifter S?

There are quite a few of these boats running around with 540 xl's and larger.
