Simon, it has been a while since your last post in this thread. Still... I am very curious if you still run the 4s rigger and maybe have a video of it (on youtube?).

          Regards from Holland,

          Eric

I have it on good advice that a T-180 is a good esc. Fine I can do one of those.
Small problem, this hull was built for old style esc's similar to a Mystery or Skywing 200.
A T-180 will not fit .................unless we do a bit of cut and paste, which is what I love to do with a wooden hull.

Here are a few pics of todays work that show a possible solution. T-180 between two 2S packs, all topped with a new front end for the rigger.

As usual I start cutting wood and glueing it together and then think about how the build will progress.

Simon, I run a T-180 on some very high RPM setups. Bottom line is it's rock solid and I've never had an issue. It tends to run cool even with advanced timing and more load than it should have. I've melted off 5.5 castle connectors, but never any trouble from the T-180. Space is always an issue for the 180.

Ben you are right on the space thing which is why this rigger is getting some serious cut and paste. I trust you are right on its performance and I have read all that you send me, big thanks for some of that !!

A school trip was cancelled so we (me and SHE) got the day off to do what we wanted!
I was down into the workshop fast, a mower motor repair and then into the boats.

I now have it ready to hatch and that is where I hate builds, curved hatches are a bastwad to make, I should know as I have made lots but still hate doing it and still fark most of them up.

This one is of a different construction technique (as are most) and I hope may be a success. All of my hatches fit but most need pulling down a little to tape, sometimes at the end or sometimes in the middle depending on where I got the bend wrong.
This hatch gets to soak under a good layer of sealer on a former and can sit in the sun for a week or more until I get some coins up to grab a T-180 and new packs.
This build is now on a go slow.
I'll let you all know when the power bits are on the way
