The new cowl looks good, have you done a mold of it so you can make more? I may have to get a FE Stealth running.Comment

I got it third try. Used the masking tape template method then cut from vinyl with scissors. Curves were too severe for a one-piece to conform so I had to cut it up the middle and then hide the imperfect seam with a small 1/8? strip.Otto RC MarineComment

First test runs completed today! It was extremely fast and a bit flighty on the top end, but the water could have been less rough too. I lowered strut, angled fin, and moved CG forward in small steps and saw steady improvement. Someone grabbed an awesome pic!Attached FilesOtto RC MarineComment

Test log slightly rough water but still probably in the 70's. Will get more solid info after nailing my setup. Currently TP4060 1750KV, Y547:Attached FilesOtto RC MarineComment

Hey Mike, 2 1/2 years sense your post. I’m getting ready to build a Stealth 45 FE, should have the hull tomorrow. Great post/thread/build tips by the way..! Any other input or advice..? I have built & run the Stealth 21, pretty straight forward and runs great… Thanks for the info.Comment

No I'd build another exactly the same today. I still like the 1650KV/Y547 for circuit racing. She'll take more and run low 80's but its a bit much for race water. You do want the servo/batts as far forward as they will go to keep the CG as close to the rear of the sponsons as possible so it stays on the water. Fine tune with strut. Install a small triangular chunk of stiff foam equal in height to the batts just ahead of the batts. Just enough to keep them from coming forward and wedging the hull seam open on an impact.Otto RC MarineComment
