Ok, where did you source the hull from? I tried emailing Andy and never got a reply. I was only able to find an 38? baby RSV Raptor from Denis Olivier Mainh lt?s, out of Germany. I too wanted to build a twin mono, capable of handling rougher waters as well. I?m afraid 38 isn?t going to cut it, or effectively capable of running twins. I?m quite disappointed that I didn?t see this before I already dropped $550 for the hull.

Warrio17, the hull is no longer made, the mold was damaged. Jesse J has one he painted, but has not built. Perhaps he'll consider selling it to you.

It took longer than expected to get my rudder from MTC and I missed my Shootout deadline. Boat has been put on the back burner for this winter as motivation is low right now to spend much time in the workshop. The rudder did finally arrive and looks nice. As soon as I mocked it up in place, I realized the transom isn't perpendicular to the bottom of the hull. I'm going to send the mount out to have a 5* surface machined on it to correct that. I had considered trying it myself on my mini mill, but I know my limitations. The motor mount is in and incredibly solid. Nice to have something checked off the list. I bent a new stuffing tube because I wasn't happy with the first attempt. It still needs to be glued in place and finish the front support. I installed blind nuts and hatch screws on the rear of the canopy, and made some templates for a windshield and rear window decals. That's about it for now.

I also picked up a little brother hull. I'll build it as a 6S twin for the shootout next year.

It's a 38" (4" overhang) baby RSV Raptor. Andy built the mold, then sold it to another guy who is laying up the hulls and selling them in Germany. This is a double carbon layup and incredibly strong.

Dang Ryan, great minds n stuff! I too picked up a raptor hull!! Too bad we don’t live closer, I bet we’d have some fun hanging out building and racing!

I was thinking going the p mono route, since my OSE raider was such a success. 1800ish kv TP 4060 motor, mid 50s.. sounds like you are looking to make a veloci-Raptor! Will be watching closely.

Jesse, yes, they're great looking hulls. I have a double carbon hull in blue as well that I'm going to build as a single. Probably 8S, TP4060 1350kv

That boat is my favorite boat for the last 2 seasons.
Twin setup doing 72mph (115km/h) pretty stable on good props but cheap components... I really love that boat :-)

The performance is quite satisfying for using a twin setup consisting of SSS 4074 1600kV and Flycolor 150A on 6s2p.
I just had to replace the motor bearings but that is all and quite acceptable for a boat that I really ran a lot for 2 seasons.

And you're only building a single! The overhang definitely makes it a challenging build.

Building the Baby Raptor with a twin setup is definately challenging.

Actually building it this way is not that bad yet when taking care of the right order but after 2 seasons I have modified the boat, added the turnfins, had to do maintanance so almost every part also got disassembled and with the motor mount quite far in the back this is definately not maintanance-firiendly.

On the other hand - if it would be all completely simple, it would not be a special boat and I love this boat as it does 70+mph still pretty stable on an all day setup. It will be a nice boat for you at the shootout and if you invest a little more then just 2x SSS4074 and Flycolor 150 on standard Turnigy LiPo you will also achieve even higher speeds in the straight line
