Ty has a couple Tamiya cars. They suck just as hard as you remember. Road cars. I wouldn't call it budget racing. I would call it "Dad is making him pay his own way on some of this crap". The cost of traveling to multiple races times 2 dudes is a bit much for dear old dad.

He really really wants one of these LSH kits. I built him two Pearls for him without building myself one already. I told him ME first grasshopper. I just laminated the double bulkheads Wednesday night. Posting a build thread on the MMEU Facebook page.

I'm not on face book. Is there a different passage to your build/club ? Or can you email it ?
      Cheers, Jay.

On a different subject, I finally gave up on maker spaces in our area (Techshop went bankrupt, Village Workshop is now out of business). I invested in some vacuum forming equipment. I'm pulling 25gallons to about 27.5inHg. Nice sharp radii and excellent detail. The tanks are only dropping to 20in after the pulls. That's not too bad! Very happy! Mostly that I don't have to deal with driving/paying and hoping that other shops stay in business.

Tactic radio.... no fus, only radio that works threw carbon fiber , and most importantly works in the dead zone off pin three at the Elk's, long arm not required !! although I have two.
guess I'll have to use Iain's fb to get in there!!

Tactic SLT rx's are included in the works through carbon fiber?

Maybe we should check Kevin's dumpster for a laser. His junk is probably 500 times more machine than you would ever need to burn kits.

I'll have open time on both cutters after the holidays.
I could cut some for you if you need.

Was able to cut about 80 fins this week. Hope to bend them next week.

I still think the fin on Ty's is holding it back.

You think Ty's boat is 'held back'?? The dude continues to lap people every heat, LOL.

OK, back to the build. I sanded the ride pad framework flat in prep for the pads. I usually use this super long sanding block to keep both sides in check.
