Took your advise ozzie-crawl, put in the stock Proboat BJ motor.
    X642/3
    Stock BJ motor
    Turnigy 120A ESC
    4s 5800mha 30c
    GPS 39.1

After about 8 passes temps were 120f on the ESC and around 100f on the motor. Nice and cool.
    Thanks for the suggestion.

I could only get a few passes in as the water was a little to rough. I hope some better water this weekend and and try the x440/3 prop

I think its best to put all the head of the river cats in one place so i`m in and if you need help just ask.

Very clean installation.I like that a lot.How did you run the silicon tubing to the motor? Some kind of clips? Also, where did you get that motor mount?

          Hi guys,

It seems I've not been on here for so long......
I have been doing everything except my boats... :-(

Oh well, Today I did make a good start at painting my HOR32 and so far.... not too bad, I'll post pic's soon.

I'm doing it in the Aqua-Mania scheme.....

Anyway, Does anybody have a good template of image file for the screen?
My PC died on me and I lost it all....

          Back to painting then.....

I think you should add some boat like paint effects over the black and clear coat it. JMO, but I think it would look sharp metallic black.

By this thread's standards, I'm a noob, I started my own build thread on my version of the HOTR hull... I call it Das Boot. It's an experimental craft with twin 1500watt 500 heli motors on 4s. It has surpassed 42mph w/36mm props and is on it's way to K40's later this week in hopes of low temps and low 50's. Final destination is 4s2p 2200Kv CR x442's.

i could get a can of clear made up with some metallic fleck threw it,so paint sticks ok to gel coat after a light sand ?
if i paint it the seem needs some work, motor is ordered its going to be the leopard 4074 2000kv
was going the 2200 but can run more prop with the 2000kv
                thinking just s.a.w type runs

I don't know about the black, but with the white hull, I scuffed it really good with a 3m Scotch brite green scrubbing pad (like the ones for dishes) and used the duplicolor automotive lacquer right over it. I laid on about 7 or 8 coats and baked them in the sun. Then allowed the hull to cure for 2 weeks before use.

Also, I used pin stripe along the seam to hide it.

Ok, so I've done some painting but it's not as successful as I would have liked but I am going to fix what's wrong before I put any graphics onto it. This is the first time I have ever painted anything and so I guess it's not so bad.....

Thank you, I was building this boat for my father before he passed away, It's just a shame he can't enjoy it with me.
I am very pleased the way it's turned out but it is flawed.
