In my oinion and acoording to FeCalc a 12XL is the fastest sensible motor to use with 6S. I run a 13XL on 6S in my TC31 and it is fast and reliable. With 7XL on 6S your electronics won't last longDo the math : kv x Volts (anything more than 35000 rpm would be too much...

dont take this to the bank as such but a 12xl on 6s with somthing like a y537 prop should see you close to mid 40s,with say 5000mah batts you should get fairly good run time.
if you wanted more speed later on you can prop up
just remember the faster you push it the less run time you getComment

Bigdg357's Hotr cat with an 8xl on 6s.
Its possible to do this kind of thing, but VERY risky.Comment

I'm no pro but if it isn't a serious saw boat why deal with the headaches? In my mind the more juice you put to it the faster things will blow. ( more power more heat ) Besides, I built my HOTR Cat because it was inexpensive and nice looking plus following the setups of others it's a safe fun 50+ mph boat. Trust me a 50 mph boat will chew a nice size pond faster then you know!!! The hull looks nice but it's thin and it will not take a front-end crash because you couldn't stop it @ 60 mph. Then again what do I know
take some video and lets see what happens
OK, You Go First!!!Comment
