Hi Everyone, Its been a long time since I have posted on OSE, but I have not forgotten!!! There have been a few builds on the go but most of what you guys have already seen in the past. This here is a little different for me, as I don't get to build a lot of mono's. This one is getting very exciting but at the same time a little scary LOL. A lot had to be planned for and there is still a long way before I'm 100% But I'll start this thread anyway and see what you guys think. The setup is HPR 010 Ultimate Lay-up (The very last by Hanspeter himself) HPR Hardware, and LMT 3060 plus MGM400 Controller. This is a single drive so a little different from whats being built in the other thread (Very Impressive by the way)

I did the setout in acrylic so I wouldn't waste the 4mm carbon palte... plus I had to make some adjustment, so I'm glad I did.

This is where I'm up to right now. Needing to glue in the 3-way mount, but cant until I've finished the drive exit with the stuffing tube. There is very little room around the mounts so it would be hard. its still possible to replace teflon tube and all that once the mount is in.

This is looking awesome. That 4mm is beefy. To be honest, even though it's only temporary, I like the look of the four posts for the rudder. Maybe if they were just a little wider in diameter...
How are you planning on securing the servo? Personally, I'd make an threaded aluminum backing plate with all four servo mounting holes.
If you don't mind me asking, how was the exterior quality on this copy? Even though I had to do some work on mine, I still wouldn't trade it for the world.Comment

A small update, I have made the extension for the rudder. It consists of a large plate which mounts to the hull and also hold the hydraulics on the same plate (mounts through hull also) the smaller plates that act as the spacers are all stepped 1mm offset just to get a bit of dimension. The good thing is I can swoop them to get a different look, or I can take a few out and replace with carbon tube also. When I start to mount I'll see what option I like the best. With tubes it could be a bit "wobelly" but with the plates it should be solid as the screws can not twist.

Ill do some better photos of the mount, it looks a lot better in person.Visit www.customcfparts.com | Custom Boat Building | Custom Carbon Fiber Parts | Custom Graphics | LMT Premium Dealer | MGM Premium Dealer | YouTube | Facebook
