Setup we used is 2 feigao 540XL9 each on 6s lipo 45mm K-prop but it still needs some adjustments .

A hpr06 is bigger and havier then the china clone so our setup is way to much , the ideal twin setup would be 2 feigao 540s8 125amp esc on 2s lipo but a feigao 380L8 on 3s lipo is also a option.

I will follow this thread to see how you built yours .

We only use these ETTI 125amp. they are cheap and easy to install .

Ok. I have one 9XL Feigao motor, and two packs 3S 11.1V 2200mAh lipo batt.
So if i use ETTI 125 esc. Will this set up work? Do i have to program the esc?

            Tony ,

The ETTI 125Amp does not need to be programmed for a XL9 but i would use lipos with higher capacity something like 5000Mah and use 2 3s in serie so you would get 6s . The 2200Mah can only handle 55Amp max so thats not enough . Also use a lipo saver between de Esc and the lipo , the ETTI can be programmed to shut of if the voltage will be below 18volt but cannot monitor a single cel .

            Michiel.

Are you going to use 3s1p or 3s2p series? I have the same exact hull like your with 9XL Feigao motor, x642 prop. I'm trying to decide which esc to use.

3s1p. I want to see what I can get her to do on just one pack. I am building a Mean Machine to run on 6s, or 2, 3s packs in series. I am useing a 9xl in that boat. I will either use a hydra 120 or a HiModel 200 amp esc in that boat. I am just waiting for the motor to arrive on this one. I am painting the meany right know, so they will probably be finished around the same time.

                          Hi Spot Me 2,

Can't wait to see your build.

I am building a twin set up in the same 32 inch cat.

I have fitted two Neu 1509's 4500 kv and will run 30/50 Polyquest 4500 mah 2s each side and two ETTI esc's.

Running gear is from Germany and is very well made.

                          Some pics of my cat.

Yea those Chineese business men take care of their customers for the most part because they know all about service and want your return business. I have delt with R2hobbies and they have taken very good care of me I had a battery charger go bad they sent me and after some emails back and forth and sending the charger back (to China it takes 10-14 days) they offered me a credit or a replacement, Durr I took the replacement and as it turned out the one they sent me was a better model, I know it was a not a boat but they sell those too, that look like the one pictured above.

                              Good luck with all that,
