    Forward Thinking Cyberstorm P-Ltd Mono

Steve wanted something more substantial than his previous RtR mono which proved less than durable. I sent him an Insane34 P-Mono that ripped. Next, to compete with some forward thinking racers in a mythical kingdom where they dare to allow a wider selection of "spec" motors, this TP Powered P-Ltd Mono should get him on the podium

First, a transom doubler of birch ply to reinforce the stock doubler apparantly made of Meunster cheese

TP Power 3630 in CF mount supplemented by "mini-rails" providing much more bonding surface than with mount alone

Leo cooling jacket just fits, comes with large fittings (and required mount to be notched)

predetermined layout + long battery trays allow CG tuning . Trial balancing worked out using Super Hi-Tech CG-O-Meter thumbup1:

Looks great. Think I will have to get that rudder for my DF 29. What does cutting the blade shorter help achieve? Also, what setback is that bracket? Thanks

                          Less rudder = more speed.

Ray's correct. Plus, the longer the rudder, the more effect it has on the running attitude (as in pulling the nose down).

The Speedmaster rudder I used for the Cyberstorm is likely to end up being too large for the DF 29. It's huge, heavy and designed for much larger nitro or gasser hulls. Not only is it long, but quite thick. To shorten it's penetration I not only trimmed the bottom shorter, but modded the upper mounting location by cutting some of the top of the blade away and re-drilling the bolt holes to raise it up :

                            stock blade mounting location:

I does look quite thick now that you mention it. I was planning on using the speedmaster 21 rudder but I wish they had a dual pickup version
