New person to hobby needs help

hello to all and thanks for read this .New to the sport . But a long time fan !!!

I looking for a little help on getting a boat hull picked out and made . It;s r/c but not.I going to have a raspberry pi2 (very small computer) control the boat . I am looking at the jet chopper 30 as a hull but the maker has not gotten back to me, now i am second guessing myself . i figure a *!**deep v hull would be my second choice .the biggest lake i would use it in would be lake Winnebago in fond du lac wi *!**. Not huge wave like on the ocean. *!** just need help choosing a hull and who can build it

I have a raspberry I am using for a model train project
Building a working clam shovel and using the computer to run it
My raspberry runs off of wifi

Do you think you will be able to run a boat from shore that way with out getting out of range or is this a computer on board programed to go out and back to the same spot project ?

Maybe a few more questions you need to answer first

1 How big of a box is your control system going to have to live in and sealed up to be water proof including a battery to run it on

2 How long will it be out driving around on its own ?

3 How fast will it be going ?

4 Scale looking boat ?

5 How much $$ are you willing to spend on just the boat hull and hardware , electric motor , esc and batteries (lipo?)

the computer is 3 and half inches long 2 half width and 1 inch deep. waiting for the battery to show up. 5v

I would lean more towards a cat type of boat
I think it would be harder to tip over and get into trouble if a wave came along you were not prepared for
They have a bigger hatch most times than a mono hull boat that would make things easier to work on getting all your parts in

Is your boat going to have reverse ??
Not all esc s have reverse

Not sure how a flex cable drive shaft would like turning the wrong way either so if there is a lot of backing up you might need to go with a solid shaft

Would a hull like this one be big enough ??
