Got a few things done last night. Almost finished decals, rudder mounted and drilled remaining holes, water tear drop intakes and a few more bits.

What do you use to make sure all the motor mounts and stuffing tubes match up correctly?

Seems like thats the hardest part... seeing how once they are all glued in theres no going back incase a flex is not centered...

Is a stuffing tube mount/holder near mounts the only thing that will keep the tube in place or are you going to be epoxying it where it goes into the drive? I know Keith doesn't seem to use any epoxy there though... or does he?

Are those HRC cooling jackets better than the LMT ones? They seem to cover more of the motor area than lmt ones tho...

        Hi Dimitry,
To line up the motor mounts and stuffing tube I dont use any tooling as such. I look at the "raw" flex cable's bend and set/glue in the motor mounts (like pictured) when its set, I then make the stuffing tube to match. In other words, I want to see the flex cable's curve before I glue anything in. The stuffing tube then gets bent and the mounting plate interlocks with it, plus its glued together. So both stuffing tube, mounting block, stuffing tube support are ALL glued in once the motor mounts are set. Hope it makes sense. As for the HRC cans, I'm not sure as this is the first time I'm using them. But the were made as a left/right unit so everything is very symetrical.

Kent, this is one of my favorites of your builds, but I'm partial to Orange.

Nice. I think the hardest part about doing sleds though is surviving the fumes and having your head half in the hull lol.

The color is pretty wild, definitely need to paint one of my boats orange in the future. Do you plan on doing a maiden soon?

Shes now done! had the maiden and all went well. Small water leak somewhere? so gotta fix that up. She ran on 6s (1300kv) only with some small props, so speed was not great. We will try on 8s with some nice props and see how she goes. should have another run sometime soon.

                    Hello Folks,
Maiden run here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s5R4Chjg9pU went well, with bigger modded props she should fly!

Also a few pics from the customer at the river...
