    MHZ 138 - McLaren Theme

    Hello Folks,
Time to do a new build. Some of the main features are:
    LMT 3040's with LMT couplers
    SF300 Lite
    MBP Click Drives
    Gundart cables and tubes
    Savos 1268MG
A lot of custom carbon work. Here is an overlook of the 95% completed drawings

Here is the good part, I have spend some time coming up with a jig to fit the click drives. I have to say its one of the best things I ever did as it takes the guess work out of installing the drives. It also ensures that the drives are identical on both sides. This is very important for a potentional fast boat. Here is the process for installing the drives.

Time to get the motors installed. The mounts are x2 3mm CF Plate to make a total of 6mm support. The McLaren tick was also cut into the plate. It worked out really well and I'm happy with the result.

So far, so good. I got the mounts tacked in, and started to lay some glass strips around the mounts. I think I ended up with 6 layers on all sides of the mounts. This was followed by tinted epoxy with CF cuttings and some micro balloons (pics to follow) after that, I will do the final step and mask up again for a stream line look.

It would be neet to see a thread on how you do it, and not hijack your thread.

Man those drives are so sweet, exactly how much movement does each "click" provide? Cant wait to see this when its done!

                              @ Mike, thanks dude!
                              @ MxKid, I believe 1 click = 1/10mm so 10 clicks should move 1mm
