ehhhh... not really what i would use in this hull. Id use a 40mm motor at 70+mm long. guess it depends on the speed you want.

You could do a 50mph setup very easily. My first time in the water mine did 62mph. If you want cheapthen a leopard 4082 around 1600kv on 6s with an x642 prop should put you where you want to be, on 6s. I try to go higher voltage with lower kv to keep current down. 6s with about an 1800-1900kv motor (with good power) will put you at 75+ with everything tuned in. Please note I've got ALOT of experiment time with this same boat. I have about half a dozen of them in my possession right now. I've got 97.5mph out of mine with no failures, so I do know a little about this hill. I don't mind helping you at all. I would recommend highly that you use quality packs (no nano techs or cheap China packs) with at least a 45-50c rating and at least 5000mah. Any less than that and your stressing electronics. Like good! Btw since I last posted, I did one with a castle 1515 2200kv and a seaking 180 on 4s it did 50.5mph with an x642 prop. Not breaking a sweat. I have video of it if you wanna see.32" carbon rivercat single 4s 102mph, 27” mini Rivercat 92mph, kbb34 91mph, jessej micro cat(too fast) wasComment

Neu, and Castle Creations are American companies so there sizes are in imperial measurements, the first 2 digits are the can diameter in tenths of an inch so 1.5 inches, the second 2 digits are the rotor length in tenths of an inch, again in this case 1.5 inches long.
Similar formats are used the world over with the first 2 digits describing the diameter of either the can or rotor, and the second 2 digits the length of the can or rotor. Most countries and manufacturers us millimetres though not inches, and it is more usual for both figures to be can, or both to be rotor than mixed like Neu.Paul Upton-Taylor, Greased Weasel Racing.Comment

Got it wet on Thursday, not brilliant couldn't get anywhere near full throttle without losing drive. Stripped it down to find the 4mm 2 piece shaft had broken. It had split the prop shaft tube where the square drive goes in. I've ripped out the stuffing tube and motor mount to replace it all with upgraded 3/16 flex, stuffing tube, strut and 3 piece motor mount, cheers Mike at Performance models for all your help.Comment

I never use anything but a 3/16 flex. I've had .150 flex fail on the first run with a brand new rtr boat. First thing I do is make sure it has a good 3/16 flex.32" carbon rivercat single 4s 102mph, 27” mini Rivercat 92mph, kbb34 91mph, jessej micro cat(too fast) wasComment

This is the first video, apologies for the quality and length. It's hard to drive and video at the same timeComment
