I've just bought the above and have a slight issue I need help with. I plan to run a single 1900kv motor on 4 or 5s. The problem I have is the transom. It's not flat. It has 1.5x1" rectangle in the middle that sticks out about half an inch. How do bolt the strut assembly to it. There seems to be no room

This is the hull I have, cheers for any build advice you can offer -
Most folks run twin motors on this and only the rudder is mounted on the center section. This being said there are rudder strut combos that have an offset rudder. You will have to look for one that will mount to the transom given those dimensions.IMPBA 20481S D-12Comment

Your welcome. Look, there's a couple ways to to the nuts. They way I do it is i have a nut driver that I cut the plastic handle short and I put a little silicon in the docket to hold the nut and washer. There a better way that I saw a member here doing (srislash maybe? Please correct me if I'm wrong) it's a little three or four pronged "grabber" thing.32" carbon rivercat single 4s 102mph, 27” mini Rivercat 92mph, kbb34 91mph, jessej micro cat(too fast) wasComment

AstecModels is the UK FE boat forum, it is nowhere near as busy as this one as hackers took it down a couple of years ago and it hasn't really built back up, but there are still a small hardcore of experienced racers that frequent there and are happy to help out should you have problems like this.Paul Upton-Taylor, Greased Weasel Racing.Comment

Right another stupid question sorry. I need to sort batteries. I have a 1200w 1900kv motor and a 120a esc. I presume 5s 5000mah 30/40c batteries would the max. What prop would you recommend I have an x640 detongued and sharpened but am open to suggestions. Oh and do I go 2s and 3s. Think if buy 2 sets of each then I can get warm with 6s on occasion.Comment
