Douggie , you are correct in believing that Paddy is a problem child. Tasmania is known for it,s serial killers and alas I am afraid that Paddy's cruelty to animals espiecialy the feathered kind are a definant pre-cursor to this sort of behaviour. I firmly believe that he should be institutionalised imidiatly and his boats confiscated and given to me for the safety of all. As you can see I only suggest this drastic action for his own good as his boats are so slow that they are of no use to me. Ha Ha

Randy, the bloodline is great up to the Welsh part. Sorry the Scots and the Welsh do not get on but mind you the Scots do not get on with anyone but themselves and that as history has shown us is a bloody battle also...Campbells and the MacDonalds at Glencoe..a traversity of highland hospitality.

            More Rubbish from Slim........

Thanks again for all your comments chaps, the coupling is fixed to the shaft at 180deg – 2 off grub screws, one set on the flex and one set on the motor shaft, but I like your idea of using an additional 2 grub screws on the flex therefore clamping in four places round the flex thus creating a square shape in the metal of the flex.

The idea of silver soldering the coupling to the flex scares me because maintenance of the prop shaft housing should be done after every run. Saying that I bet after losing 2 more, I will be preaching it to everyone. I have thought about grinding two flats on the flex the only worry then is the wires in the shaft weaken and fall to bits. I need more thought on this at this time, but thanks for staring me off.

I have actually forgotten to check the brake setting on the SC because I thought I switched it off, so tonight I fired her up and much to my amassment I noticed the brake was on, so this would explain why the flex was stripped and lost to the pond monster. I cannot believe it, I know not to use the brake setting and I am absolutely sure I had switched it off but ........ oh well doesn’t matter now, I must remember to check for the bleeps when I switch on every time. Thanks for reminding me to check, Randy, P.S. I am the furthest you could possibly imagine from being a racist so don’t worry about being a dog, Paddy’s boss swears blind about them, and probably why he sleeps with them.

Paddy please stop slagging off the scotts, nothing wrong with them, they just can’t play rugby properly....... nuts just realised what I have just said after the southern hemisphere crushed England over the past couple of weeks. Anyway with a name like Paddy do you have an Irish background or think it’s cool to call yourself paddy, like my mate Paul?

Forgot to mention I have just ordered a couple of 18.5V LiPos, I could only get 15Cs so they might be a bit pants what do you think? Good or bad decision (remember my 14V LiPo is now shagged so I only have the NiMhs) so with the new LiPos, in theory I could now have about 61,050 RPM (not under load).

Best Regards to you all and have a Whisky on me

            Slim

The problem, as I perceive it, is Paddy. What is his background, as he seems to have this vengeance against all manner of birds, especially THE DUCK. I know he lives in this distant island called Tasmania but if I went there is a chance of me being captured for the knowledge of my famous burning newspaper up the arse trick?
              Your obedient servant

A second thought, Paddy may capture me and then hold me ransom to the highest bidding pirate from Somalia. I think that the newspaper antic may seem to them as a non hostile method of capturing tankers. Sneek up at night do the dance of the flaming arsehole. All the seamen are enamoured by this sight and then storm the boat.
              What do you think?

PS.. sorry Slim for taking away from your valid comments on this post, but Andy and Paddy can not stop me from ???

Another thing I thought of today, besides having sex with one of the very attractive girls in the office, was too eliminate the need for waders by using one of my most latest and greatest inventions.

                Invention No1
Use one of my small crap motors higher up with a small prop to drive the boat to the side of the pond (separate control system perhaps).

                Invention No 2 (patent pending)
Use 2 condoms on the stern exterior of the boat with a small gas cylinder filled with highly compressed air and a servo to activate a switch to release the air into them. When the boat sinks activate the servo enabling compressed air into the condoms thus inflating them and providing an air pocket to stabilise the boat and stop the tail from sinking. I was thinking about calling it circumstances literally into total obliviation requiring initial safety...................... unfortunately the abbreviation was Clitoris...... so I am not sure this will take off....... what do you think?

I see while the good little Irish/Italian/Tasmanian security guard has been sleeping a coalition of his detractors has been forming (Andy and Douggie). I have long suspected that Andy has some Scotch blood. His blood certainly has a high Scotch Whisky content but that name Andy is a giveaway. I guess that the birds of a feather (the Scots men) are planning something and one has his eye on my boats and the other probably has his eye on my women. All I can say is bring it on girls. We can always release Martin Bryant from prison to fight you two.

Slim I am not sure if I read your post properly but I think you said you got some 15C LiPo's. I just went from 20C to 30C LiPo's about three months ago and the speed difference was incredible. The way that Scotch Andy described it to me is the higher the C rating the quicker it can deliver the power to the motor.

I know this is a Krabs build but it does go a lot of different directions. In that vane I was able to get back to the build on your Spirit Of The Eagle II. I set the sponsons today and will be removing hardware to paint.
