Ahh the intelligent one arrives. Sit down and have a drink Douggie my good man. You must be weary from educating all those Dubbya supporters on that other thread. I have to agree with your comments and yes 86% of Australians agree that he will go down in history just as you said.

Douggie the whole world is suffering right now, and it will get worse, because of the actions of this man. I have a lot to say on this subject but I would prefer to say it in another place. I will drop you an email when I get time and vent my anger there. Most of us down here stopped listening to his Words Of Mass Bull$hit a long time ago.

Agreed and Canada, Britain, Australia, and most other Western countries were taken in with "Are you with us or not" crap. Iraq was a huge mistake...Afganhistan ...not winnable, just ask the Russians.

Paddy I would be happy to test several props on it and give you my opinion as to what works best. This may take some time though as I would have to experiment with various amounts of cupping and such.

LOL. So The Southern Cross will go on its tour of the U.S.A. and Canada before I get to see it.

Chuck I am going to tell Andy that this is the new SV27 so I can race him and whoop his a$$ in Queensland next year. He still believes in the Tooth Fairy. His kids are wondering why they have found more than 60 teeth under his pillow in the last four months. I guess he is saving for a new boat. He keeps his kids poor with all those teeth.

[QUOTE=Xzessperated;65498]Slim, Randy is building this for me....

He has the boat up to this stage now....

Now that looks like a seriously nice bad boy bit of kit to me, if I were you put 2 motors in it and go nuts with the cells and prop, murder all of the ducks and wildlife on the pond (what the hell it’s for a good cause) and if you don’t catch fire from friction on your first run turn round and get the world speed record. Failing that the Enterprise will be suppressed when you overtake it at warp speed.

What’s it made of? It looks gorgeous. Is this a custom job or a production model?

Batman look out, someone has better toys than you (and more money)!!

Slim it is made of CF. It will come with everything except the radio receiver and esc but I have those here waiting for it. I know Randy is planning a circuit version for sale. Mine is a SAW rigger but I might build some circuit sponsons for it when it gets here. Randy is making a SAW and circuit rudder for it.

At least you can get your hands inside it to play, I have spent most of tonight tinkering with Mr Krabs and it is a pain to do anything inside the hull. The servo has been removed stripped and internally oiled, the motor has been removed, dried and oiled, the main bearing has been cleaned out and oiled. Now she is working fine with the 18.5V LiPo (bizarrely metered at 19V, more volts the better) looks like the water I took on a few weeks ago did not entirely dry out and the reason the motor did not turn was due to this, now stripped and cleaned. I have ordered a new ESC 160A with higher volts but probably now not needed with my rubbish setup, It did not cost a lot so an upgrade later if required.

She or he is back together and I have learnt, to dry everything and oil everything again twice if possible.

She is now waiting for the prop shaft, once again from Aztec, hopefully this time I will get the right length of flexi so I can run this weekend with the new cells.

Will let you know how I get on (but don’t hold your hopes up)

PS – get that hull working ASAP I want to see pics or video it looks so nice, do you have a name for it yet – I am so jealous?

Hi Paddy, I have been out of it for the last two days, (I have a lot ot catch up on) I went in to see the doctor monday. I was put in the hospital, I was in over night. (28 hours) I had a abscess on my testicle. It all is from the hernia surgery. I am back more or less to normal.

The BBY rigger will be red, white and blue. Going to use the Southern Cross star pattern from the Aussie flag in the blue area. The name of the boat will be Southern Cross. It will have a red Lion on the nose. The Tasmanian flag has a red Lion and that is where that comes from. Either that or Randy can do her in what he calls his Patriot design and that is like the Stars and Stripes (Old Glory) flag wrapped around the boat. If he does that I would like a Bald Eagle on it and call it Spirit Of The Eagle II. I will have to see what Randy pulls out of his hat.
