In our club, we can either do a scale replica paint scheme or a scheme of our own, as long as it looks 'Scale' like. I can't wait to see the final livery when she hits the water.

what kind of paint did you use?

Spoke to Trev yesterday. The paint is a two pack Holden Commodore 'Hazard Yellow' code 745s. Might be listed under GM or Pontiac over there in the States.

That thing is ridin' on the straights, you get rid of that little bit of hop in the turns and it'll be set! Looks great!

Yep. A few more adjustments & testing.
Any ideas on what might be causing it. I initially thought that the turn fin angle was pulling the sponson down too hard & bouncing it on the water. But I'm not sure.

Drop the the strut 1/8" to start.

It looked more like sponson hop rather than tail hop to me. But I think that trev was going to drop the strut a bit before its next outing anyway, because it looked a bit too light in the straights & a bit of chop would certainly send it skywards.

Looking good, liking the yellow! I have a smaller (10%) version being moulded for me in a couple of weeks. Am going to do a Q hydro with it. The mould is originally for 45 nitro and is a good hull. I'm going to go yellow with it too! Not copying, just matching the rest of my boats. I may look at doing a 1/8 scale next year. If I do it will probably be in the Miss Houston colours as it is about the only version available for scale comp., or I may be able to score the Oberto scheme maybe.

Hi Paul, slight change of subject. Can I ask how you got on with your Turnigy 3674 2200kv motor that you were testing a while ago in a mono hull. These motors seem to be a lot more powerfull than their claimed 1200w & 70a cont current & 100a max current, what is your thoughts or have you not had the chance for more testing yet. Thanks Martin.

Hi Martin. How's trix.

The turnigy performed fine with a 440/3 prop in a the 32" mono. Didn't get hot but was obviously just a tad slower than the 4082 2200kv motor that I usually run in it with that same prop. It just dropped a few more revs than the 4082.
I'm still running the Turnigy 4082 1600kv motor in the big heavy wooden Ferrari & that motor is spinning a Prather s235 on that with ease on 4s.
That's basically like a m651 size prop.
If you want cheap, I'm trying a couple of these at the moment. They seem to be ok so far with the same setups in a mono & a hydro.
