Yes for the most part that is what I use but without the digi readoutss.
I made a non transperant alum motor mount today she looke nice...
I will post again alter after I take pics...

Ok guys here we go... I did a set of water cooling motor mounts today and I would say they turned out pretty good. The brass tuning is for show. I was trying out the new bender and thats what i cam up with....
I made them with less material than the transperant alum ones to same weight.
I just removed material that I figured wasnt needed....
I think its worth its weight in cooling and easy of mototr removeal. The lower mount stays mounted the top parts can be removed without moving the mount.
I will try and get it weighed this weekend if even at the p/o.

The hull is really light o start out with, almost fragile in my opinion. That weight is with a 1/4 ply transome doubler installed. I still need toinstall the stringer and othe misc item but I feel I am on the lighter side of the fence. I have been a bit nervous abou the hull bottom being thin and planned on adding some f/g or c/f/
I went to my cloth dealer today to price out some c/f 42$ a yd . So I bought some c/f 1ft x 50 inches and it cost me 15$... pretty good buyI think...
Now to do my research on laying in the botom of the hull... Normally for this motor I would just go with f/g but I am hopeing to drop in a Neu in the future and then he extra strength will be nice...

Ok so I have installed the c/f. Actually it was pretty easy... I used blue painters tape to hold the fibers so I could lay out the outline and cut without fraying.
I used 3 oz of Zee poxy. I laid the c/f in the hull and left the tape on seeing it wouldnt come off like it was supposed to. I did a test to see if the tape would have any effect on the install... I saw no ill effects so I left it on and layed the C/F in tape down. Once it was were I wanted it i mixed up the zee poxy and poured it in. I then used the roller to move the epoxy around and to wet the cloth.
It actually worked real nice. and once the cloth was wetted I was able to soak up the excess poxy with the sponge roller. When the roller got "full" I squeesed out the excess from the roller and continue rolling till i had soaked up as much as I wanted and the poxy started to go off. At that point it time to tend the "cure and make sure the edges stayed down where I wanted. For the most part i used the roller to tend to the lifting spots till it cured.
Some pics of how it looks in good light. The pic with the light spot in the middle is showing how thin the hll is....THat is the sun behind the hull showing thru the C/f
