Well work has kept me busy so not getting alot done there..I did manage to start a hatch cover and have watercooled and added a fan the my esc....
With my suped up motor mount I have decided to run dual water pickes one for motor and one for esc... Here are some pics of the current work.
I think while I am at work tmo I will cut the basic stringer shapes and drill the mounting hole for the m/m..
Prior to sealing the esc with dp270 I sealed of the layers of fet's, seeing I couldnt get a brush in the to do it right I figured seal then off. I sealed them off with thin strips of foam stuffed between the layers. After the Dp 270 cured I installed the heat sink and shrink wrapped it. I then traced an outline of where the fan went and cut out the hole and also holes for the escapeing hot air.... I then attache the fan to the heat sink with 4-40 screws . I did have to drill and tap the 4 holes for the scres...

Here are some pics of the hatch cover as I have it so far... It is far from finished, it need better lines and flow.... I will probably vac u form a proto cover to see how things fit and if I really like it before I glass one up..

        My Saturday.....
Starts at 6 am darn cats getting into something....... go to work modify a mold and prep for production.
3 hours save the day... 1 hour my time (thanks boss)....
I cut the stringers and prepped for install. I then did a lil bit of work on the hatch a bit more shapeing..... homewardbound to install the stringers..
Worked well I tacked them in place with ca keeping them strightand on place being carefull not to twist the hull...
I then taped off the inner side of the rails to prevent leakage. I then flowed a bead of thin zeepoxy down the "v" between the stinger and hull on the outerside of stringer.

Went to change the oil in the car 21.56$ told I need a new belt 100$
need a lower intake gasket on my motor 800$

Cant get me down ,Im building a baddas boat...I get home and
Mix up another tablespoon of zee poxy with microbubbles to thicken it up a bit. I then carefully flow this on top of the previous coat forming a real nice clean even fillet.. I then tend the flow for a few hours To prevent puddleing...
B.R.B... tend the flow..... AHHHHH perfect its going off, and all looks great...

Relaxing and taking stock of the build progress I am also doing a vac u pickle as a ride along.project.. eaiser to do it the way when I build more than one..
Just thought I would share my Saturday.....

no offense, but that hatch looks all wrong for the hull
The Manx has been sitting dormant, but I think I finally have my motivation back. I hope to see it float soon.

tough to do with the exsisitng hatch area. There is a 3/8 lip in the top to the raised hatch area. I originally thought about chopping it out and doing a make over.... but alot of added weight and alot of work.....Maybe over the winter...The current one would look ok on another hull, but it dont flow with the lines of the original hatch area...

Overlap the existing canopy shape and blend it into the new one.

The shape you have now looks kinda weird, sorry Dave.

Myself, I think I would go old-school offshore scale looking for the

                    canopy.

Darn straight front area... Makeing it flush wth the outside edge could be a challenge and have it look ok???

                              Dave...

I think the problem is the bubble dose not blend with the existing canopy.

Shave it off and glue another piece of foam on, and shape it so it is a

continuance of what is there to begin with.

                              Just a thought.

tricky part is getting it to conform and get it to sit on top without sliding down one side.............. An under cut flat area. I do have this pc of thin glass sheet...
Mold it to the outer shape cut o fit... Then epoxy that to the flat sheet and cut aroundd...
