Thanks Keith, means a lot coming from you. You have some very SOLID builds yourself, and the speeds + many builds speak for it self (some even make it to good ole OZ). I'm thinking about MBP or Werner for a solution, but if you have others you are of cause welcome to suggest. For the speeds of what this boat is going to run, I'm sure most is way over kill, but in the end its always nice to just have a boat that works every time its out. (that's a wish of cause) but a combination of good hardware and a careful build should eliminate the failure ratio

              Hi Kent,
In pic #4, what cable system are you using for your rudder? I have a large scale set of hydraulics with no cables (I need to solder a set in) and these look like they may work. Maybe Great Planes 4/40 Deluxe or Sullivans push cable?

jj, I'm sure you can use any SS steel wire around 1mm or so, the cables are mhz and come with the hydraulic system . I have before used some steel wire for fishing, that worked really well. The carbon mount is my own design, and the clamps I can source.

Kent this boat is beautiful. idk where you get some of these ideas, they're unreal man.

should be a lot of fun doing the maiden, are you going to just go with a 457 on 10s for it?

Kent Kent Kent, where do i start with how upset you get me
I meannnn way to make my boat look average I was happy with it, now im not lol
I really like the theme of this boat.. And the build is first class as always.

Lets talk for a new theme on my boat
Im over Cintron ( lucky i went on top of the clear after all ) I want something that gives you more to look at when staring at it. ITs 2.3 + metres of silver paint is to much for the couple stickers on it.
I love the high end brand themes such as the watch one you did, this Liquor brand etc.
Ill email you in the next couple days

Thanks Mike for the compliments....don't know where I get the ideas lol, but in many cases I get inspired by what I like in everyday life, and this time it was a specific request from the owner to do this tribute boat. I already have many themes in my head that I would apply to a boat, and the next theme is almost picked. It of cause helps that I have a graphic background, and can play withe the theme till I'm happy. Regarding the 10s setup, I think the 52mm prop for now will do. If she does 80-85 should be good enough for a cruiser...

Spend the night on soldering the ESC's and getting new firmware updated together with setting parameters to suit the motors. With a bit of luck some bench testing tomorrow to see if it all spins. There will be a maiden sometime soon. Also got a thin piece of carbon veneer glued to the outer of the motor mounts. I think it came out neat...

Today was the maiden run. Was quite fun to see this boat come alive. Rohan and I had a bit of running before she got wrapped up and taken away. Just a play around run on 6s (20k rpm out the back) to see if she floats and keep dry. Last minute decals to wind screen was also applied

There is this vid here, https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ATSUyWpoPts max speed maybe 60mph. Small props and 6s not much to expect, but still ok for the setup. Hopefully we see some more of this in the future.
