New twin rigger

Hi guys

I've been working on this project for months and decided to have a "plastic"version of it after some customer requests.It's 40"long X 24"widht and designed for twins or a big block.In this case I will use two set of motors....will start with 4050 2220kv Tpower previuosly tested on 6S in the wood version and probably will ended up with Neu 1527 1D......will post more pics with the progress of the building.Gill

some little progress.Speedmaster hardware and the hard task of install correctly the boom holders in the sponsons.

.... did the holes for the carbon inserts in the right sponson and the boat start to look good.

Flraptor fixed at 4,5 degrees as I inttend to use it for saw but can be built with different angles for heat race.
Steve I'm sorry but for now i only will make few hulls(5) for my customers..... but who knows....?
Andrew a pair of 6S accomodates easily...will post a pic soon.
Jcald2000 thanks this is the only way that really pays off to make forever lasting molds in my opinion.
Tomorrow will glue the sponson's botton and start to cut bulkheads.

Gil, you may want to consider replacing the carbon boom tubes in the tub with aluminum, when the sponson tubes break they will shatter the tub tubes and you can't just replace the sponson tubes and run without major surgery to the tub.

Jcald2000 yes one of the boats will be built this way but most for unknown reasons prefer or believe that c.f in this area is stronger.Personally never had an issue as I use a very thick c.f tube in the tub...booms are 3/8"solid c.f and the tubes have 14mm OD....the tubes in the sponsons will receive an aluminium sleeves for reinforcemts.Tomorrow I will start with bulkheads and install motors mount.Gill

Two 5mm "GRSBOATS" fiber sheets glued together for motor mount.Tppower motor are great but the thin threads for the 3mm screws are the weak points so I prefer this easier way to install or remove my motors.Next step glue the front bulkhead and put the drive lines.Gill
