Hi Sambini. Thanks for the interest!!! I never anticipated this, but a few others have asked as well, so I plan on cutting frame pcs for people that are interested for a nominal fee. I'd be happy to put you on the list if you want. I need to do more testing prior to cutting anything though. I also need to finish a cowl design (other than the UL-1 that I'm using).
So far all the testing is going very well. She's a smooth runner and seems to handle chop. I think it might be just what we needed for the full P class. With any luck, I'll have some video up soon.
Thanks.Comment

Oh, and I updated the nose cone. It's a lot more 'pointy' now. Ball laughed at it last week since it was so blunt. This looks MUCH better.
BTW, if anyone needs a good adhesive for Styrene to Styrene, this stuff is the absolute bomb. Melts the stuff together. It's called 'Plastruct Plastic Weld'. Amazing.Attached FilesComment

Thanks Mike!!!
I finally got some bugs worked out and she's running pretty good. Batts had 3 laps on them from an X645 trial, but here she is with an H5 and Neu 1515-1Y. GPS was 62mph. I really zinged around the pins at 26s......almost thought I was Mike Ball for a second.

Bruferrit - Yes, I do plan on offering a frame kit (no skin) at a nominal fee, but I'm still working out some bugs.
I've added servo cut-outs, 3" motor mount rails, and motor relief. I also squared the hatch for easier fitment. I'd like to remove the main frame pc that stretches across the sponson backs. This will make the batteries easier to remove. However, I'm afraid removing this frame will weaken the hull. Any ideas? I was thinking about putting another frame pc just behind the sponson backs. Here is the current CAD model:Attached FilesComment

Good suggestion, and thanks for keeping me honest. I was seriously considering cutting it out completely, but I think you are right.
Begs the question though.....how do these boats get away with it?? (My LSH whip and my old ML).Comment

I tore the bulkhead out of a Whip 21 and it was fine. When I build it again I'll do the same but, I always add CF cloth etc. to add support it lost. I do build my wood boats tuff in my estimation.
Terry, you have to brace your motor that thing is a brick!Nortavlag Bulc
