      Thanks Jim!

Raced it yesterday in the unlimited P class. Out of the box it performed amazingly well!!! It seemed like it was going to blow over, so I added a little down angle to the prop. It didn’t like that at all… Hopped around like a jackrabbit! I put the strut back to neutral and moved the ESC up a bit. It runs and turns pretty good now, however, the Leopard motor just ain’t gonna cut it for speed. GPS is only 56mph. That’s weak for full P!! The rest of the guys will blow the doors off me!! I plan to move the ESC up to the front and put a monster sized motor in it. It’s a tank, so I’m sure it will handle it. Very promising so far!!

I have discovered the shallow and neutral strut setting works good for starters. Then fine tune using set up board and fealer gauges. The turn fin should be neutral also.

I'm not going to feel her gauges! I'd get lost in that crack! Why people think that is sexy or hot I don't know. I'd prefer something a bit smaller and tighter

Look at her legs. She looks muscular to me!

            Shooter,
Ever consider putting a skin on the CAD model, CNC a plug at Techshop on the Shop bot, an making a mold? I can help ya if your interested. We could make it out of CF Cloth, Super light, reinforced where it matters.

I'd like a mold from the Transom in that second pic, please.....

Oh the legs! I wasn't looking at the legs.

Wow, gone for a few days, and I miss the best post of the thread!!! Woah! ......didn't see HER at our last club race!!

D - I agree with everything neutral. The best boats that I've ran have been setup completely neutral (no angled struts, no tilted fins, etc...).

Larry - My membership at TS expired. I think I might re-join after the summer, but for now I barely have time to do anything! The carbon fiber idea sounds very very cool. We should talk about this in the winter, but I have to make sure the boat is competitive first before I put any more time into it. So far, so good. Just need more horsepower, and I got that on the way!

                    Shooter,
I also would be interested in working with you on this. I will have more time in the fall / winter for sure.

It may be easiest to make a mold of what you already have done. If you want to modify the design in a major way, perhaps to make better use of what CF can do, then a 3D scan of the hull or a skin on your CAD model may be in order. In that case, we would CNC a solid plug of the hull out of wood, and prep it to make a mold of it.
We could do a resin transfer process, and have a grade-A finish right out of the mold. Have an outer skin of whatever you want, and avoid paint.

                        Thank you sir!

Well, I was up half the night. Re-configured the entire drive system. Removed the old stuffing tube. .....and I have to admit, it was tough to cut into that nice black paint. Anyhow, I installed a new stuffing tube (for 0.187), and will be running a much larger motor for the unlimited P class. Some soldering and I should be ready to go.

I also opened up a cavity in the front for the ESC. Allows relief for the cooling lines. This was in the original 3D model, but I had plugged it.

Awesome. Pete, please tell me your bringing that out this Sunday for testing on the big course.

That motor will take this build to a brand new level.

Yes, I plan to be out there Sunday to run it!

The collet is from rocketcityracing. I'm a little worried that the collet (including the threads) is made out of aluminum, but Jimmy's had good luck with his.
