Well here it is ready for primer, weighing in at just under 8 ounces. WOW!!! Light as a feather and strong too. My little dog "Butterball" sat up there on that chair and watched the whole build happen! She could tell you all the details!

I'm not the body man I could be, I don't have the patience...

I could use some suggestions about the bottom of the hull and how to come up with a better idea for some chine strips instead of the wood skis hence the name ski vee.

Hey Mike, I want to do a 30 inch hydro out of foam. something simple. I have a 3650 5900kv and a 120 amp ESC, if I could find a needle bearing strut I could go fast and not wear out stuff ya know....
I know, and you will wear out needle bearing struts without a lot of maintenance, they can rust quickly. That is too high a Kv and too low an amp rating for the ESC for most sport running, the motor is more appropriate for SAW running with a 180+ ESC. I've built several record holding SAW riggers with foam sponsons covered in thin plywood and a ply tub, they can work great with the right power.

Hello everybody, I picked up some lexan RC car body paint and a spray can of walmart primer. I didn't fill and sand for two reasons...
the first is I'm lazy and the second is I've reached the weight limit plus a half ounce so I gotta loose a half ounce somewhere else. Anyways candy apple red looks good and I won't have any problems seeing it on the water!

If so just don't run them to the transom you need something in the water LOL

Then you don't have to worry about the extra weight.
Hi Mike I'm gonna run this hull with out strakes and see what it does, I'm curious...

I'm new to this sport but it seems to me that's a lot of stress with just the stuffing tube supporting the prop. Especially with the prop that far back. Good luck.

You are right! But the stinger is double walled tubing up to the back of the prop shaft so its plenty strong!
